Surely everyone in the country or in the garage will have an old enameled basin, which has long served its purpose, and throwing his hand does not rise. And rightly so! Indeed, a magnificent decorative pond can turn out of the basin, which will become a real decoration of the site.
Make it very simple. First, we need an old basin or even an old metal sink. We select the place where the future pond will be located, and we prepare a hole for it in the right size. But before you dig in the base, it is necessary to coat the bottom and edges of the pelvis with cement mortar.
Cooking it is not difficult. We take one part of cement, mix with three parts of sand and gradually dilute the resulting mixture with water, gently stirring. It is convenient to do this with a hand in a rubber glove to stretch all the lumps that form. The solution should not be liquid, it is more convenient to process the vessel as if smearing cement along the bottom and walls.

After every centimeter of the area is hidden behind a layer of cement, the basin should be removed in a dry place to dry, or left on the street, but be covered in case of rain.
All this is done in order to give an aesthetic appearance to the future pond, simulating the ribbed bottom and edges. Another plus of such manipulation is the ability of water residents to calmly move along the bottom, and not slide on an enameled surface, risking never getting out.
After the cement hardens, it is necessary to dig a pond so that the edges are flush with the ground level, reed branches can be stuck along them, and the joints decorate with stones. It remains to fill the pond with water and the decorative pond is ready!
For winter, water needs to be scooped out and a large plastic bag filled with soil and leaves is placed inside, after making large holes in it. It will help our former basin to winter, not to lose its appearance and not to deform.
In spring, the package must be removed. The bottom needs to be wiped, having removed the awakening earth.
